I'm a strategy consultant focused on AI product development, sales enablement and operational infrastructure for the food supply chain.
My first job out of college was bussing tables at Uchi in Austin, TX. I was new to restaurants but obsessed from day one, and I spent my days and nights learning every aspect of the business front to back.
Since then I've cooked in three-Michelin starred kitchens, negotiated with decision makers for Fortune 500 restaurant groups, led teams implementing AI for the largest food distributors in the world, and built industry-leading solutions as a startup founder exploring the industry's frontier.
I'm passionate about understanding how chefs, farmers, producers and distributors deliver food to our plates, and I love building systems that help people do their best work.
Worked at top James Beard and Michelin-awarded restaurants around the world — Uchi, Jean-Georges, Oxheart, Ando. I watched how great chefs run their kitchens and learned how strong operators scale.
Built Sous, a mobile-first marketplace connecting restaurants and wholesale distributors. Acquired by BlueCart in 2017.
Led tri-state market expansion for DoorDash. Defined customer success playbooks, supported strategic sales and aligned marketplace incentives across merchant, customer and dasher teams.
Led Sysco's move from a mostly offline ordering process to one driven by eCommerce and AI, both at the infrastructure level and delivering products that changed the way our customers ordered.
Helping food supply chain businesses define their goals and navigate the AI landscape: implementation, sales enablement strategy, product roadmapping and aligning the team on what's next.
Every business and every client engagement is unique. That being said, by taking a structured approach to my work I'm able to reliably deliver results that solve the team's most important problems in a way that empowers everyone on the team to more effectively deliver results.
My typical product development framework follows this approach:
Understand the specific details of how the business and team operates. Define the org structure, team motivations, challenges and SOPs to get a clear picture of the specific requirements any given solution needs to meet.
How does the business operate today and what are the biggest challenges?
Build a shared vision between myself, leadership and frontline team members as we define what success looks like. This includes KPIs, specific outcomes, timelines and a high level plan to get there.
What specifically does the target state look like and how do we define success?
Combine knowledge of the business, industry standards and the latest developments in AI to identify solutions. Define, build and iterate on these potential solutions to quickly deliver scalable results.
What solutions might work and how quickly can we confirm our assumptions?
Train and share context on new SOPs with all relevant team members. Solutions are only effective if the team understands them - make sure leadership, sales, operations and engineering teams have context on the process moving forward.
What does the team need to know to make this change effective?
