Effective date: 15 August 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Brian Bush Consulting ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the website located at brianbush.co (the "Site"). Brian Bush Consulting is a sole proprietorship organized under the laws of the State of New York and is the controller responsible for the information described in this Policy.
By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Site.
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you submit the contact form on the Site or otherwise correspond with us. This information includes your name and email address, which are required, and may include your company name, the category of your inquiry, how you learned of the Company, and the contents of your message.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you submit through the signup form. Subscription is single opt-in: submitting the form adds your address to the list immediately, and no confirmation email is sent to you.
We also collect the contents of any email or other communication you send to us directly, together with the information contained in it.
When you access the Site, our hosting provider automatically records certain information transmitted by your browser as part of the ordinary operation of a web server. This information includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages and files you request, the date and time of your request, and the referring URL, if any. This information is recorded in server logs and is used for security, diagnostic, and operational purposes.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate usage of the Site. This service does not use cookies, does not store information on your device, and does not track users across other websites or applications. It derives a transient, hashed value to distinguish page views within a single day, which is not retained as a persistent identifier. The information available to us through this service is aggregated and includes page views, referring sources, general geographic region at the country level, and device and browser categories. We are not able to identify individual visitors through this service.
The Site does not set cookies. The Site does not use local storage, session storage, or any other client-side storage mechanism to store information on your device. Because no cookies or similar technologies are used for analytics, advertising, or personalization, no consent banner is presented.
The Site does not offer user accounts and does not collect passwords or authentication credentials. The Site does not process payments and does not collect payment card or financial account information. We do not knowingly collect government identification numbers, precise geolocation data, biometric data, health information, or other categories of sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not submit such information to us.
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
We do not use contact form submissions or correspondence to send marketing communications, and we will not add you to our newsletter because you contacted us. We operate a newsletter mailing list, and your address is added to it only where you submit it through the signup form yourself. Every newsletter we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
For individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK General Data Protection Regulation:
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising purposes.
We disclose information only in the following circumstances:
We rely on the following third parties in operating the Site. Each processes information subject to its own privacy policy:
We retain contact form submissions and correspondence for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, to maintain the business relationship to which it relates, and thereafter for the period necessary to comply with our legal obligations or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We retain a newsletter subscriber's email address until they unsubscribe or ask us to remove it; a record of the unsubscribe is kept thereafter for the sole purpose of honouring it. Server log and analytics information is retained by our hosting provider in accordance with its own retention schedules. You may request deletion of your information as described in Section 8.
The Site is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections. The Site is a static website: it maintains no user accounts and no database of its own, and newsletter subscribers' email addresses are held by Resend, the provider described in Section 5. We employ reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. Email in particular is not a secure medium. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or from the Site, and any transmission is at your own risk. You should not transmit confidential or sensitive information through the contact form.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; to request deletion of your information; to request a copy of your information in a portable format; to object to or request restriction of certain processing; and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw that consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at bb@brianbush.co. We will respond within the time period required by applicable law, which is generally thirty (30) days, and may take an extension where permitted. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated in Section 4, we do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; accordingly, there is no opt-out mechanism to provide. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling. Requests may be submitted to the email address above.
In addition to the rights described above, individuals in these jurisdictions have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority if they believe our processing of their personal data infringes applicable law.
The Company is located in the United States, and the service providers described in Section 5 process information in the United States and other jurisdictions. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that information you submit will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
The Site is directed to businesses and professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any individual under the age of sixteen (16). If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
The Site contains links to third-party websites and resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected through the Site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of a revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
